Welcome to the Levitt Pavilion Pasadena’s blog page. We’ve got an incredibly packed summer for everyone this year with some great artists lined up for you. Opening day is Sunday, June 21st and the first concert of the series is on Wednesday, June 24th with shows running until Sunday, August 30th.
Join us every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm for Children’s Hour. Artists for this evening include Bob Bakers Marionettes, The FUNdamentals Band, Ferdinand the Bull, Sara Hickman, Leslie Perry, Joanie Bartel, Silly Monsters, Putumayo Kids, Choo Choo Soul and Habla Blah. Join us early at 6:30pm for Levitt Loves Kids when the Pavilion showcases the unique talents of local area youth by enabling them to perform as the opening act, featuring performers 12 and under.
Thursday evenings at 8pm come join the Levitt for Patchwork of America an evening with artists from the genres of folk, indie, rock, soul bluegrass and others. Artist joining the Levitt for this evening include: Amanda Shaw, Delgado Brothers, Lovell Sisters, Spring Standards, The Blasters, Leroy Bell, Betty Soo, Baskery, Chris Pierce and the Duhks.
Friday evenings at 8pm are filled with sounds from all over the globe in our World Rhythms night. The rhythms for these evenings include Armenian, Persian, Chinese and even Celtic sounds. Artists include; Element (Armenian), Emilie Simon (French), Viver Brasil, West African Highlife, Salsa Celtica, Pharaoh’s Daughter, Mamak Khadem (Persian), Hanngai (Chinese), Night in Mumbai (Indian) and ON Ensemble (Japanese).
Put some spice in your life and join the Levitt every Saturday evening at 8pm for our Musica Latina night. From Afro-Cuban to Mariachi to Latin Rock the Levitt has the sound for you. Performers for this evening include; Del Castillo, Boogaloo Assassins, Louie Cruz Beltran, Pistolera, Ronnie Gutierrez, Mariachi Divas, Incendio, Cava and Cordero.
To complete every week on Sunday evenings at 7:30pm we host tru Jazz nu Jazz night, an evening of modern, smooth and straight-ahead jazz. Performers for these nights include; Cross Hart, Barbara Morrison, Pan Afrikan Arkestra, Harper/Evans Project, Billy Mitchell, Claudia Villela, KJ Denhart, Louise Van Taylor, The Gathering and Meg Okura. You can again join us earlier at 6:30pm that evening for another installment of Levitt Loves Kids this evening with performers ages 13-18.
